January 20th Jimmy’s Special Shoot

The weather stayed fine for us for most of the day only starting to rain just before the last groups came in.  The January shoots are now know as Jimmy Special Shoots because he wanted an extra shoot so each January puts it out.  This one he did with the help of Rex. They are as crafty as each other so I knew it would not be easy especially as James said to me it would be a little more testing than usual!  Jimmy and Rex do not stretch the distances to much however the way they lay a course it is still very deceiving.  We had 36 targets made up of 3D’s with a few paper. As it was a testing shoot James said that they could have fur and feather on the paper targets. For those of you that do not know that expression it means that the whole animal counts - even if you hit a little bit of fur that sticks out it counts and by the scores that came in still they needed it.  Talking of scores I must apologise to Adrian Schoeberl as I slipped up with my pen and got his score wrong on my sheet. I put 350 but it was 530, it has been put right below. I have also been asked to thank those members who helped before the day to get the car park and other things done so here goes; Philip Lovick, Philip Elvin, Mark Bond. Bev Clarke, David Allen, Colin Robinson, Steven Trimmer, Kevin Hunt.  As with all clubs there are a few that work and loads that do not.
